Kyoto National Museum

교토를 대표하는 일본 미술품·유물 컬렉션 — 도자기, 직물, 서예, 불교 조각과 회화까지 천 년이 넘는 시간을 아우르며, 메이지 시대에 지어진 붉은 벽돌 건물과 현대식 신관에 나누어 전시되어 있다.

Generally open 9:30–17:00, with extended hours to 20:00 on Fridays and Saturdays (last entry 30 minutes before close). Closed Mondays, except that when Monday is a national holiday the museum stays open and closes the following Tuesday instead. Standard collection admission is around ¥700; special exhibitions are priced separately.
