Nijo Castle

这座被列为世界遗产的幕府将军宫殿,其二之丸御殿的回廊铺设着刻意设计的“莺张地板”——脚步落下时地板会发出鸟鸣般的吱吱声,用作防范刺客的预警装置。御殿内彩绘的隔扇门,以及四周的护城河与庭园,同样值得细细游览。

Grounds and Ninomaru Palace are open 8:45–17:00, last admission 16:00. The castle is closed on some Tuesdays in January, July, August, and December, plus December 26–January 4. Check the date before planning around it. A combined grounds-and-palace ticket runs roughly ¥1,000; photography isn't permitted inside the palace itself.
